5.  Scapple Mind Map   This is the best I have ever come across. You don’t have to pay any more money and you can be as creative as you want with your pictures, etc.  The cost is $15.00 (I try to free programs whenever possible, but this is an exceptionally easy program to use, and the price is very affordable.) An example follows:

CAP Scrapple First Try

The background on the program defaults to white, However, this program allows you to change the background to any picture  background that you desire.  Everything in this program is simply drag and drop or double-click and type. When you want to connect text or picture to your main idea, you simply drag it over to the icon picture or text you wish to connect to, and drag it back to the place where you had it originally. The two are none connected.

For Tablets - Free Download Mind Preview Lite  At the present time  the Mac version IOS Universal is $0.99 and the Mac version is $5.99

MindMeister    Easy to use.  Basic is free, but limited to only 3 maps.  Maps can be deleted and exported.   Personal individual use is $36.00 for 3 months.  Pro is $60.00 for 6 months. I don’t know how long this lasts, but if you invite a friend you will receive a bonus of 10 extra maps per friend.
